The East Gate of Angkor Wat is one of the two main gateways into Angkor Wat. It is less used than the West Gate. Here, you seldom find the hordes of tourist buses and tuk tuk. There are no hawkers chasing after you to buy souvenirs. You are practically left in peace to explore at your own time.

The East Gate of Angkor Wat is much less spectacular than the West Gate. Indeed, it was built for the sake of symmetry, for the main entrance is still the West Gate.
