Charles Bridge is a historical bridge across the Vltava River in Prague, Czech Republic. It was constructed from 1357 but was only completed at the beginning of the 15th century. It was then the only means to cross the Vltava River until 1841. Charles Bridge is 516 meters long and close to 10 meters wide. It has 16 arches and protected by 3 bridge towers, two on the Lesser Quarter side and one on the Old Town side.
