Fu Tak Chi Museum
Far East Square

The Fuk Tak Chi Museum was once Fu Tak Chi Temple, the oldest Chinese temple in Singapore. The temple was built in 1824 by Hakka and Cantonese immigrants five years after the founding of modern Singapore in 1819. It was dedicated to Tua Pek Kong, but caters to the religious needs of both Confucianists and Taoists.

Fu Tak Chi Temple was restored in August 1998, and converted into a museum to showcase artifacts on the lives of early Chinese migrants. In 2000, it became part of the new Far East Square development.
