Hualamphong Railway Station, in the Pathum Wan district, is the main railway station for Bangkok. The terminal building was built in the Italian Renaissance style, and opened on 25 June, 1916, after a six-year construction period. The station has 14 platforms and 26 ticketing booths. Over 130 trains stop at Hualamphong every day, carrying about 60,000 passengers.

Since 2004, passengers can also take the MRT subway train from Hualamphong to other parts of Bangkok.
