Île des Cygnes is a man-made island on the Seine in Paris. It was created in 1827 as a buffer for the port of Grenelle. Île des Cygnes is an elongated island spliting the flow of the Seine into two. It is 850 meters (2,789 feet) long but only 11 meters (36 feet) wide. A tree-shaded walkway called l'Allée des Cygnes runs along the length of the island.

Three bridges pass through Île des Cygnes namely Pont de Grenelle, Pont Rouelle and Pont de Bir-Hakeim.

How to reach Île des Cygnes

Take the Métro to either the Bir Hakeim or the Passy subway stations and walk to the island on Pont de Bir Hakeim.
