Lilau Square is the first Portuguese-style residential quarters in Macau. This small square typifies the Mediterranean atmosphere, but includes Chinese urban and architectural concepts. The ground water at Lilau Square used to be the main source of natural spring water in Macau, so much so that the Portugese community had a saying, "One who drinks from Lilau never forgets Macao" expressing the people's sentiments towards Lilau Square.
Lilau Square is adjacent to the residential complex of Mandarin Zheng Guanying.
