Lumpini Park, also written Lumphini Park and Lumpinee Park) is a 140-acre park in downtown Bangkok. It was created in the 1920's by King Rama VI and named after Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha in Nepal. A statue of King Rama VI stands on the southwest entrance to the park. | ||||
