Lumpini Park, also written Lumphini Park and Lumpinee Park) is a 140-acre park in downtown Bangkok. It was created in the 1920's by King Rama VI and named after Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha in Nepal. A statue of King Rama VI stands on the southwest entrance to the park.
Lumpini Park is located on the north side of Rama VI Road, between Ratchadamri Road and Witthayu Road.
