It is located on the Left Bank of the Seine, and holds French artwork dating from 1848 to 1915. The building of Musée d'Orsay in an imposing Beaux-Arts style structure built between 1898 and 1900. Among the art objects exhibited in the museum includes furniture, sculptures, photography, and the largest collect of impressionist and post-impressionist masterpieces by Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir, Cezanne, Seurat, Gauguin and Van Gogh. Musée d'Orsay was opened by the late President François Mitterand on 1 December, 1986. How to reach Musée d'OrsayThe nearest train to this station is the RER train on the RER C line to the Musée d'Orsay RER train station.The nearest subway station of the Paris Métro is the Solférino subway station served by the M12 line. From this station, walk north alone Rue de Bellechasse until Rue de Lille. Turn right, and you will see the Musée d'Orsay on your left.
