Parliament House a complex of buildings that houses the Parliament of New South Wales, Australia. It is located on the east side of Macquarie Street in Sydney, the state capital. It consists of a two-storey Georgian building - the oldest public building in Sydney - flanked by two Victorian additions containing the parliamentary chambers. These buildings are linked to a 12 storey block at the rear built in the 1970s facing the Domain.

The oldest part of Parliament House was first built as the north wing of the Rum Hospital (nowadays called Sydney Hospital). Macquarie Street was by Governor Macquarie in 1810. As the British government refused to fund his projects, Governor Macquarie drew a contract to build the hospital using convict labour and funds from rum imports.
