Old Town Square
Prague, Czech Republic

Staroměstské náměstí is the Old Town Square of Prague, capital of Czech Republic. It is located between Wenceslas Square and the Charles Bridge, and is an important tourist attraction in Prague. The Old Town Square features various architectural styles including the gothic Týn Cathedral and the baroque St. Nicholas Church. Tourist can also explore the many narrow alleys radiating from the square. Among the sights include the Astronomical Clock. For a panoramic view of town, go up the tower of the Old Town Hall.

Standing in the centre of the Old Town Square is the statue of Jan Hus, who was burned at the stake for his beliefs. The statue was erected on July 6, 1915 to mark the 500th anniversary of his death.
