Prasat Prei is a small, insignificant temple located on the opposite side of the road from Neak Pean. It was built in the late 12th and early 13th century during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. Prasat Prei consists of a pair of laterite towers, or prasats. There are some carvings of apsaras that is still visible, other than that, the temple is in an advanced state of ruin. There is nothing of particular significance about Prasat Prei and it is likely to be be of interest to those with time and specific interest in studying Angkor indepth. To reach Prasat Prei, take the road that runs between Preah Khan and Neak Pean. Be on the look out for a left-turn with a signboard saying Prasat Prei and/or Banteay Prei.
