Upper East Side is a neighborhood in the borough of Manhattan, New York City. It is the area bounded by 59th Street to the south, 96th Street to the north, Central Park to the west, and the East River to the east.

Upper East Side is the most affluent neighborhood of Manhanttan. It enjoys the most expensive real estate in the United States. This is where the well-to-do of New York City call home, including family members of the Rockefellers, Roosevelts, Kennedys, Whitneys and Dukes. The Upper East Side is also where you can find museums and embassies occupying many of the Beaux-Arts mansions in this area.
