World of Coca-Cola is a permanet exhibition detailing the history of The Coca-Cola Company. It is located at Pemberton Place, which was named after John Pemberton, the inventor of Coca-Cola, just across Baker Street from Centennial Olympic Park. The World of Coca-Cola originally opened in 1991 adjacent to Underground Atlanta in downtown Atlanta. It operated there for 16 years before relocating to Pemberton Place on 24 May, 2007. The World of Coca-Cola mixes the history of Coca-Cola with entertainment. Visitors pass through the three-storey museum, beginning at the top floor, and working their way down. In the process, they pass through approximately one thousand Coca-Cola artifacts and memorabilia telling the story of the beverage.
